I was browsing the web, and discovered the original comic book base fiction on Google Groups’ RACC. I read a couple stories, and caught a mild version of the writing bug. It’s mild becuase, unlike people dedicated to writing, I have a hard time getting off my ass and doing so. I’m planning on correcting that... :)
I’ve currently got a couple other projects on the go, including a RACC mirror that includes cover images. I want to complete a few of those before I get back into the nitty-gritty of writing. Below, you’ll see a couple of "issues" I’ve written, and a couple concepts I’m planning on.
A gritty, villian based series. Marlo used to be a super-villian named "Zip", the "lickety split". She had a gas, but she got caught and she paid for it. Fast forward to today, and she’s tried to stay on the straight and narrow, but it isn’t working out for her. Crummy job, harrassed by cops, and just under the poverty line... the hell with it, stick with what you know!
I thought a villian based series would be fun to write, so I wrote one. My first RACC series, the issues came out sporadically, and reading them now is embarrassing. I think the start, issue #1, is strong and fine, so I plan to pick up from there, re-plotting and re-writing the first story: Marlo getting back into the super-villian game.

Kimberly Roberts was an ordinary teenage girl.Until her father and the military industrial complex he worked for betrayed her and got her into an experimental battle armor. It morphed and bonded to her, turning her into more robot that human, the first of a series of planned super warriors.
This series is part of the Starfall imprint, and was originally written by Ted Brock and John Green. I wrote the series creator, and he gave me permission to continue the series, starting at issue #7. I need to finish the first arc, and then try and get in touch with the series creator, see if I can get permission to continue from there.

The ASH imprint is almost singlehandedly handled by one man, and he does a great job of it. I liked it so much, I asked if I could write a story for it. The Time Capsules series are usually stand alone stories, and make for a good testing ground for hopeful ASH writers.
