Wil Needs

Every once in a while, checking traffic stats for the Wil’s Ego and Visual Lizard sites, there turns up a search for "wil needs". This usually turns up my profile on Visual Lizard, a series of paragraphs all made up of short, simple sentences that I thought was clever at the time.

What I’m curious about is who is doing this search? What are they actually looking for?

A similar Google search returns (in order, at the time of this writing):

  1. A soccer forum
  2. An article about Wil Wheaton on a social site for live events
  3. My Visual Lizard profile
  4. A top ten Wil Needs list on Daily Snooze
  5. A page on Wil Wheaton’s on website
  6. Minutes for some meeting
  7. A PDF of more minutes of some different meeting

At first, I though someone might be looking for my wishlist, but that’s just ego talking. I’m inclined to believe it’s the Daily Snooze article, as the "wil needs" term is the title of the top ten list, and comes after my profile. Anything ranking higher than my profile seems unlikely, becuase they would have stopped at what they were looking for and not continued to my profile, right?

Just a weird thing I thought I’d share :)
